Yoon Band
Following
their performance in front of millions of home crowds at the World Cup 2002,
Yoon have become Korea’s indisputable leading rock band, with sales of
over 2 million albums and over a 100 live concerts that have attracted more
than 200,000 people.
Since Yoon’s inception in 1994, vocalist Yoon Do-Hyun, guitarist Huh Jun, drummer Kim Jin-won and bass guitarist Park Tae-hee have produced 9 albums, including a DVD album. They are proud to be considered the most Korean-styled rock band, and use traditional instruments such as the Gayakum (a musical instrument with 12 strings) and the Daekum (traditional wooden clarinet) as well as the basic instruments of a rock band.
Winners
of over 15 awards, including Best Musicians Award, awarded by Korean music producers,
and awards from the three leading radio stations in Korea, Yoon are now keen
to bring their unique music values to the European stage. As well as these achievements,
they were also awarded the first World Peace Music Award in 2003, following
their contribution to improving human rights in Korea.
