It is nearly a year since the "Greatest Tribute Band in the World" first donned the costumes from the decade that taste forgot. Everywhere they have performed - from the Theatre Royal Windsor to functions at Pinewood studios and the Groucho Club, from parties for Alexis Korners family to sell out rock venues in town and around - reaction has been the same, "We LOVE the Stoned".
The band was formed by Byron Jones, whose reputation was established and subsequently abotaged in true Bryan Jones Style, after co-founding the Counterfeit Stones. "After I left that lot" he says, it felt like I had died and gone to heaven"
THE
LIFE AFTER BRIAN
To front the new band he recruited (or as he put it rescued) "Stars in
their Eyes" winner Mick Jaguar from a solo career. Also featuring Keith
Wretched (on Jack Daniels) Charley Waits (clock watching) and Bill Wymandy (keeping
the score) and with special guests Nicky Popkins on keys and Jones replacement,
Mick Waylor.
Creating the look the sound and the feel of "The Greatest Rock 'N' Roll band in the World". A storming two hour show features costume changes and recalls the raw and basic early Jones line-up following on to the Taylor years finishing as Jones re-joins them on-stage as the true spirit of the band in the ultimate fantasy line-up.
As
well as performing all the hits the band enjoy playing the numbers most bands,
including the Stones themselves, won't attempt. The audience have never disagreed
with that!
